Activities
Since I started on my own in 2003, I have been involved in a number of projects:
- Validation of electricity market models.
- Participation in the project Economic and technical research of the Harku-Sindi-Riga 330 kV line for Osaühing Põhivõrk,
the transmission system operator in Estonia, in co-operation with Ea Energy Analyses, COWI and SEAS-NVE.
- Participation in a project Electricity for road transportation, flexible electricity systems and wind power,
for the Danish Energy Research Program, in co-operation with Risø, DTU, Danish Energy Association and Energinet.dk.
- Development of a post calculation module in relation to spot market clearing
for Nord Pool.
- Participation in a project on efficient district heating in the
future energy system for the Danish Energy Research Program, in co-operation with EA
Energianalyse, Risø and the Danish Distict Heating Association.
- Participation in the project Wind Variability Management Studies for
the Irish system, in co-operation with Risø, IER (University of
Stuttgart) and University of Duisburg-Essen.
- Participation in a project on
security of supply on market conditions for
the Danish Energy Research Program in co-operation with EA Energianalyse,
Risø, COWI and DEFU.
- Project manager on a project for developing an integrated model of
the Danish gas and electricity system for the Danish Energy Research Program in co-operation with DTU,
Risø, Rambøll, EA Energianalyse and Energinet.dk.
- Participation in a project on development of wind power forecast
methods.
- Development of the calculation core of the new spot
marked clearing system SESAM for Nord Pool Spot.

Nordic Energy
Perspectives is
a Nordic multidisciplinary energy-research project with the overall
ambition to contribute in strengthening economic growth and development
in the Nordic countries.
- Evaluation of the utilisation of the NorNed cable between Norway and
The Netherlands for the Norwegian Oil and Petroleum Department.

Demand
response at the Nordic power markets, in co-operation with Risø,
EnerginetDK and the
Technical University of Stockholm.
- Security of supply and economic efficiency
in cooperation with Risø National Laboratory, Elkraft System and Eltra for
the Danish Energy Research Program.
- Modelling of
imperfect competition in electricity markets using
Balmorel in cooperation with COWI and Elkraft System for
the Danish Energy Research Program.
- Optimal operation of local combined heat and power systems on market
conditions, done for Eltra together with Energi- og Miljødata, dk-teknik
and Elsam.
- Participation in a project on Power Sector Development in a
Common Baltic Electricity Market.
- Development of short term wind prognoses, done for Elkraft System
together with the Technical University of Denmark and Risø National
Laboratory.
- WILMAR, Wind Power
Integration in Liberalised Electricity Markets is a research
project with participants from Denmark,
Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden and
supported by the European Commission.
- Maintenance,
development and application of the
Balmorel model, an open source model for the analyses of future
developments of the regional energy sector.
